Trinidad: Family escapes shooting unhurt

At around 9:45 PM, Natasha Beharry heard gunshots while talking to her cousin on the phone. She thought at first that the stove had exploded, but her cousin told her the sounds were gunshots, and said that she should call the police. The police came quickly, but were unable to apprehend anyone. Witnesses testified to seeing two men running away from the house and jumping into bushes near the road. Beharry remembered a man driving by earlier and shouting: “Tell your husband I am coming for the money.” Her husband, Dansam Dhansook, said that he did not owe anyone, and that the message confused him. Dhansook, Beharry, and their two-year-old son were unhurt.
